The AUKSO Chamber Orchestra was founded on the initiative of Marek Mo?, the prime violinist of the world-famous and esteemed Silesian Quartet. It consists of young committed musicians, all of whom have graduated from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. This guarantees a uniformity of the game and a homogeneity of the sound, which is extremely rare to this extent. All members are enthusiastic instrumentalists ? her rousing joy of playing has long since become the trademark of the ensemble. The repertoire of the young orchestra includes classical, romantic and contemporary works. The orchestra's founding concert took place on the 10th anniversary of the Krakow Composers' Music Days. It was recorded by Polish radio and later broadcast. This was a brilliant start, for which the performers have already received the annual Critics' Award. Numerous tours have taken the orchestra to Germany, France, Italy and Spain. AUKSO? means as much as ?grow? or ?develop? and thus reflects the attitude of the orchestra, because the examination of Mozart, Brahms, Beethoven and other important composers requires a constantly new assessment of the situation.
