The sound of THE MOORINGS is full of energy with its combination of Celtic folk and alternative rock. Since 2011, the quintet has earned its place in the upper echelons of the Anglo-Saxon music world and shared the stage with greats such as The Dubliners (at La Cigale, Paris), The Pogues (at L?Olympia, Paris) and The Dropkick Murphys (at Rock in the Ring) , South Tyrol, Italy). The first EP of THE MOORINGS was released in 2011 under the title ? Pints & Glory? and already proved how well the band was able to combine Irish sounds with punk rock. In 2013 the live album was released ? La Cigale Unplugged?. In autumn 2014 followed the second EP ? Nicky?s Detox?, where the band also released some songs in French. In spring 2017, with ? Unbowed? the latest album. It brings together 12 mostly English-language songs with an impressive emotional range: drifting protest songs (? Captain Watson?s gang?, ? Mutins?) about folk ballads (? Posy of Lily?, ? The Mariner I used to be?) to powerful punk rock tracks reminiscent of the Sex Pistols (? Another drinking wound?, ? Ice cold jar of whiskey?). Exciting counterpoints set three French-language songs, with which the band also pays tribute to their origins, including a cover of the Jacques Brel song ? Amsterdam?. Live, the band inspires audiences at festivals and on concert stages as well as live sessions in pubs and bars across Europe.
